An award that means a lot to us

Interzoo 2026 was something very special for us: we won the Young Innovators Award with the ZeroMOUSE™ 2.0.

For us, this wasn't just an award. It was a moment when we realized that our idea is being seen and that the problem we're solving is truly relevant for many people. Because anyone who lives with a hunting cat knows the situation: the cat comes back at night, but unfortunately not alone. A mouse, a bird or some other prey animal ends up in the house, and a quiet evening quickly turns into stress.

That's exactly what we developed ZeroMOUSE™ for.

What ZeroMOUSE™ 2.0 changes in everyday life

ZeroMOUSE™ prevents cats from bringing prey into the house. The system detects in real time whether a cat is carrying something in its mouth. If that's the case, the cat flap stays closed.

To do this, our AI checks whether the cat's face is clearly recognizable. As soon as something obscures the facial image — for example a mouse, a mouse's tail, a bird or another prey animal — ZeroMOUSE™ blocks access.

Our AI trains on the basis of 800 million images and is constantly learning. These include recordings with mice, birds, snakes, lizards and many other animals. This way, detection becomes ever more precise, and cat owners can sleep more peacefully again at night.

Our new product at Interzoo: the AI Catflap

At Interzoo we also presented our new product: the AI Catflap, which we'll be launching in July.

It combines prey detection with AI facial recognition. This means: the cat flap recognizes not only whether a cat is carrying prey, but also whether it's your own cat. A microchip is no longer needed for this.

For us, this is the next big step: an intelligent cat flap that keeps prey outside while at the same time recognizing who really belongs at home.

We are grateful for

We were also delighted by the great response to the ZeroMOUSE™ 2.0 and the AI Catflap. The fact that ZeroMOUSE™ was featured in, among others, Bild am Sonntag and the BR Abendschau means a lot to us.
